Pedro Saragoça Martins
MUS-E Portugal National Coordinator
Pedro Saragoça Martins has a degree and a post-degree in Educational Research (in the area of Teachers Training), by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Research, of the Lisbon University.
From 2000 to 2004, he has worked in the Unidade de Investigação & Desenvolvimento de Ciências da Educação (UI&DCE) of that Faculty. In Educational Research, his main interests are primary teachers’ initial training, training evaluation, history of education and children moral development, having published articles in some of these subjects.
He has organized and developed several training activities and education for professionals in the educational field.
He has also studied music and other art forms and has worked for several years as a music teacher in kindergarten and primary schools, in the Musical Expression Workshop of the Children Artistic Centre (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) and in other educational institutions, having developed work involving multidisciplinary approaches.
Since MUS-E Portugal started in 1996, he has been working in the Project, becoming a Local Coordinator in 2000 and the National Coordinator in 2002, when he joined the Board of the Associação Menuhin Portugal.
