Marianne Poncelet
Secretary General of the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation
Marianne Poncelet is Secretary General of the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation in Brussels, where she has been taken a leading role in its formation and management since 1991. Over the period 1991 until the death of Yehudi Menuhin in 1999, she was his active collaborator in the establishment of the Foundation and creating a wide range of programs aimed at children and their dreams of a better world.
Her mission focuses on:
- to promote arts and education: to improve the environment of the child by music, arts and all the disciplines necessary to personal fulfillment
- to promote musical expressions and encounters of different cultures through the organization of specific multicultural events
- to promote intercultural dialogue by the creation of a forum (Assembly of Cultures of Europe - ACE); and more generally
- to coordinate and implement cultural projects initiated by Yehudi Menuhin and disseminate them worldwide.
