Isabelle Marx
Singer and coordinator
Isabelle Marx, a singer and comedian with a strong stage presence, plays in several theatre shows and musicals. In 1999, she creates the Courant d’Art Company with the aim of bringing cultures together through art. Courant d’Art stages shows and coordinates projects gathering cultures with as only principle to prevent the danger of community withdrawal.
Isabelle Marx also questions the problem of the transmission to children: it is important that children know about their culture of origin in order not to be influenced by fundamentalisms which are attempting to fill the gap generated by cultural and personal alienation. Following the creation of several children shows (Si tu veux être mon amie (if you want to be my friend), Gilgamesh - a musical tale - , Platsh…) and the running of artistic workshops in primary schools, Isabelle Marx and the team from Courant d’Art associated themselves to the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation to launch and coordinate the MUS-E programme in France.
